Acne vulgaris is a common dermatological condition characterized by the formation of comedones, papules,
pustules, and sometimes nodules and cysts. This condition predominantly affects adolescents but can persist or even begin
in adulthood. In dermatology, HITU has gained interest as a potential non-invasive treatment for various skin conditions,
including acne, due to its ability to generate heat, disrupt tissue, and stimulate biological processes. A literature review
was conducted using databases such as PubMed, Medline, and Google Scholar.. Studies published from January 2014 to
April 2024 were included. In conclusion, HITU represents a novel, non-invasive approach to acne treatment that has the
potential to address some of the limitations of traditional therapies. While current evidence is promising, further research
is necessary to fully understand its role in acne management and to refine its use in clinical practice.
